We strive to provide the highest quality neurosurgical care possible, emphasizing the importance of education while providing a thorough assessment of your condition. Our physicians and staff make every effort to ensure you and your family have a full understanding of your condition and the treatment process, so we encourage you to ask any questions that you may have.
All patients must have an appointment in order to be seen by our physicians. If you have not made an appointment yet, please make sure your referral has been faxed to us by your primary care physician or your referring physician before calling to schedule. You should plan to be in our office for at least one and a half hours. This amount of time is needed for a thorough assessment of all records and radiology studies, a comprehensive evaluation, coordination of tests, and ordering of tests and/or referrals.
In order to have a complete assessment, it is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that you bring the following records with you to your consultation appointment:
- MRI scans, CT scans, Angiograms , myelograms, or any other x-rays that you may have regarding your condition. You must bring these radiology studies in the form of a DISC/CD-ROM. This ensures the doctor can see ACTUAL IMAGES of these scans, not just the written reports. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you do not have your radiology CD(s) at the time of your appointment, your appointment may be rescheduled!
- Copies of all related medical records from other physicians or specialists, hospital records, operative reports, radiology reports, etc.
We know your time is valuable, so we make every effort for you to be seen on time. However, please understand that since our physicians are typically on-call for trauma and emergencies, it may cause delays to your appointment or we may be forced to reschedule your appointment entirely. We will do our best to inform you as far in advance as possible for any delays or if we need to reschedule your appointment. We appreciate your understanding on this matter and we look forward to seeing you!
Insurance & Payment Methods Accepted
We accept most major insurance plans such as HMO, PPO, Medicare, etc. We accept PPO plans only on an Out of Network basis so please make sure your plan has out of network benefits. Please contact our office at (760) 489-9490 if you have additional questions regarding your insurance.
We make every effort to decrease the cost of your medical care. We accept cash, checks, VISA, and MasterCard. Unfortunately, we do NOT accept American Express. Checks can be made payable to SCINS.
